Default PPF Durability

How many of you have PPF that has lasted ten years or more?
I'm considering having it installed, but I'm worried that it won't last as long as it should.
Photos appreciated.

Had Xpel PPF installed in 2013 and had it removed and replaced with new in 2022. Came off without any damage to the paint and the hood and bumper still look like new.

Just curious, why did you have it replaced?

It is recommended by Xpel to have it replaced every 10 years.

Front bumper, hood, side mirrors and area just in front of the rear wheels. $980 (includes removal of the old PPF). Remember those are 2022 prices.

I'm just beginning to entertain the idea, I'll have to do some research on local installers and their ratings. Primarily I wanted to get some feedback on whether or not it is even worth it. My C8 is black, and I know it's just a matter of time before the rock chips and bug splatters take their toll, not to mention that every little scratch and swirl mark shows up under good lighting. Thanks for your feedback.

If you check out Xpel's website, they will have a list of installers in your area. Happy to help & enjoy your C8.

If you ever travel on the freeway and put a lot of miles on it, for sure it's worth it. If it's a garage queen nope.

On my 22 Stingray I did full Expel PPF and the front would have needed touchup or repaint at 4 years in San Antonio area. Why I did full, I do not worry when individuals touch my vehicle or if they lean with jeans, at 4 years I did not have swirls to worry about, I did topper ceramic spray every 3 months or so. With that I also did full PPF on my ERay. And the full front on my Sierra Denali Ultimate. My installer now uses Suntek 12 yr warranty Both are quality products. I will say at 4 yrs Expel still looked very good, close to the day installed other then where rocks hit.
