Hi
What shall I do to get rid of the marks on the clear coat after bird dirt,:mad any ideas? Can I fix it myself or do I have to leave the car to a polish specialist.
Right now it looks very bad on the hood :cuss

How long was the bird bomb on the paint? Did it sit in the sun while it was on the paint? These factors can contribute to etching of the clear coat.
Have you tried at all to polish it out? If so, what products have you used and what have the results been?
Could use a little more information...

Before wasting time and money, get at least a 10x magnifier and look closely at where the damage is.
If it is "cracked", polishing, clay bars, etc is not going to make destroyed paint good again.

I dont know for how long time it have been there, it was there when I bought the car. You can see the etch when you watch at the hood but I can´t feel it with my fingers!
I haven´t tried to polish it, cause I would like to ask you guy´s in the forum first, before I´ll do something bad.

It probably appears as a haze in the clear, right? I would try a mild polish at first; if you have no luck with that, then move up in abrasiveness - remembering to work your way back down in order to polish out any marring.
Hopefully you'll be able to address this without having to take it in to a body shop.
