I was parked with a group of Corvettes waiting to participate in a Memorial Day parade. At some point a bird left a dropping the size of a Silver Dollar on my LF fender. Regrettably, I did not see it until an hour later. The clear coat is now marred.
My question...short of refinishing the fender...Is there any product or method avaibable to minimize the damage done by this foul fowl??? :mad
I would try a mildly abrasive product such as 3M 39009 Swirl and Scratch Remover or Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0. They may be able to at least minimize the marring.
Bird drop marks are not too hard to fix, I have fixed for other people 2 or 3 in the past week, just remove the deposit, wash the area, and then take some 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 and put a dime size dab on a cotton cloth and work that into the effected area, wipe off while still wet to inspect to see if you need to rum some more 3M on it, do this until the clear coat is repaired and then wax over that area with your normal final finish product or something that will fill in tiny buff marks.
