Default teflon

Has anyone used the teflon process on their car? I believe you just put it on when you wash the car. What would be your opinion?

I had it done once but since i had to heat my car to 621 degrees farenheit to make it stick i just had a teflon coated puddle left .

I'm being sarcastic . The only way they can even get teflon to stay on pans is to bake it on . The FTC is currently sueing the manufacturers of teflon wax products for this false advertising . It affords no protection whatsoever .

If you do a few searches I am sure you will find info on this topic as it has been beat to death on this board before. ;)

I had a professional apply paint sealant w/teflon to one of my cars years ago. While I can't technically comment on it, I can tell you that I had an good experience that I chalked up to a teflon sealant application. I had my car parked in a driveway of someone who was paintng the inside of his gargage. The paint coming of the roller was picked-up by wind gusts and I ended up with Latex paint specs all over my car. The surfaces that were teflon sealant protected cleaned up nicely with very liitle work. Other painted and waxed surfaces, like the front bumper, did not clean-up without an incredible effort (which ended up with swirl and scratch marks (from cleaning) in the clearcoat). My 2¢.
