portercable 7424 http://www.coastaltool.com comes with backing plate and counterweight for free. Forum favorite. Might use to take off Zaino but want to put on by hand, you use very little.

Re: Car Buffer (GoodbyeGirl)
If he's using Zaino there's no purpose in getting him a buffer unless there's a problem like a scratch or another type of that you're looking to address.
Buffers and polishers are usually for working in abrasives into the paint like rubbing and polishing compounds which are used to remove problems. If all he uses is Zaino and does not use compounds he really does not need one. If you do want to get one Lowes has the Porter Cable model 7336 at 109.00 which is what I have.

Right :yesnod: That's pretty much what it will be for. My GS is the queen of swirl markers, plus we have 2 black cars. I also thought that buffers will give the car an overall better appearance being that they "move" the paint around.
Is there a product that you can use with them? Like a wax or swirl remover or something

If you are currently using Zaino as a final finish you do not want to introduce any wax into the situation as Zaino will only bond to bare paint. But if you want to get him some companion rubbing and polishing compunds to go with and to use with the buffer you can get 3M Rubbing Compund Fine Cut, 3M Finessee It II, and 3M Swirl Mark Remover as a three stage buffing kit. Also you can get backer plates to attach the removalable velcro backed buffing pads from http://www.topoftheline.com The yellow or orange pad would be for the Rubbing compound, the white pad can be fore the Finesse It or the Swirl Mark Remover.
Just a cautionary, paranoid note... any time you use any kind of abrasive on your finish, you're removing a little bit of the clear coat. With a buffer, this is accelerated. The clear coat is about 1.5 mils (1.5 thousandths of an inch) thick. Don't make buffing a habit.
