 Hi Vettes,
I have a 92 Dark Red Metallac Vette that has some small chips on the hood that I want to touch up.
I don't want to repaint the entire Vette as the rest of the paint is in very good condition.
I have heard of a product from Langka that you use after you use touch up paint and was wondering if anyone has used it and what results they had or if anyone else has other ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Tnvette ;)
I've tried it and it works pretty much as advertised. You use standard GM touchup paint, which is lacquer-based. The Langka product has lacquer thinner in it, so it will gradually eat/dissolve the paint blob without hurting the urethane-based paint. It takes a little practice, and won't perform miracles ... but it's also forgiving .. if you screw up you can try again, and you don't have to sand the paint.

:iagree: My experience with it was much the same. Mothers also packages it (Langka Technology as they refer to it) under their brand name. The Mothers instructions say to use rubbing alcohol to clean and remove the wax from the chip prior to applying the paint while Langka on their website sells a separate bottle of cleaner as part of a kit. As the above reply stated, it does take some practice along with some patience. Good luck with the repairs! :yesnod:
