Why not windex?

Why not windex?
Why should we just use windex to clean the windows on my car? I've always used windex in the past on my daily drivers. What's the real benefit to going out and buying special automotive window cleaner?

Some automtive glass cleaners like Invisible Glass and Castle foam up which allows them to remove more stubborn contaminants. If your windows are free of dirt and debris, then regular(blue) Windex will work just fine. I like to spray it ona towel rather than directly on the glass though.

The biggest problem with Windex is if you have a window tint. The ammonia in Windex car lead to a bit of delamination of the window tint. Also, the Ammonia can lead to spotting of the leather, vinyl and rubber surfaces around the window.
