Is Pinnacles Paintwork Cleanser the best thing to use to remove NXT before applying Wolfgangs? Thanks> :)

 

You can use any number of things, a polish , a cleaner (like Pinnacles or P21S), or a mix of 60-70% isopropyl alcohol and water mixed into a spray bottle. Just spritz , wait a moment, and wipe. Works well with most sealants (Zaino, NXT, Wolfgang, Poorboys)

Which do you prefer to remove Zaino, so the paint is ready for Souveran ? Will the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion truely strip all of the Zaino off ? :confused:

 

Using the IPA mix might be the cheapest and easiest, but it does nothing to improve the shine of your paint. Using a good paint cleanser prior to applying sealant will, IMO yield better results.

If you are looking to make the paint the brightest, cleanest, and scratch free then get to polishing. Theres some very easy to use products like Einszett Paint Polish or Metallic Polish and Menzerma Final Polish.

The cleaners mentioned (Pinnacle , P21S ) are chemical cleaners (yes they will remove Zaino , when used properly) with some fillers (they temporarily "fill" in the scratches if not removed via polishing).

Mequire DACP is a very good two step product, it does the cleaning and the polishing and I believe it also has some fillers. Because I like the best finish without fillers, I wash after its use. I also find that some sealants are finicky and do not like to adhere as easily to anything less than a pure finish. Carnubas love to cover anything.

I tried Poorboys EX-P (Pure Sealant). It provided a warm appearance very similar to most carnubas. It is very thick and hard to regulate, as sealants like to be put on thin. It provided some dust, and I would NOT consider it to be of Wolfgang Concours caliber. That said, after experimenting with some QD's I found that it looked better than straight Poorboys with Sonus (acrylic spritz) and to a lesser extend Zaino Z6. Super reflective , almost mirror quality on Pewter (wifes Regal) , Sonus and EX-P.
