Default Drying Towels

I am currently using the Absorber but would like to see what others are using. Here are a couple of the top drying towels that I have seen out there.

Sonus Ultimate Drying Towel
Big Blue II
DF Concours Towel
Waynes Waffle Weave
Griots MicroFiber Drying Towel

Any suggestions?

You might want to look at the DF Towel. Some forum members sell it as well as DF Towel.com

I use the Big Blue II from CMA. That thing is really soft and has silk edging. Soaks up water like crazy, too.

I use the cobra Superior Waffle Weave towels... http://www.pinnaclewax.com/wafweavtowki.html
I have tried a little bit of everything and I think that this is the best by far. No lint left behind and it soaks up the water like crazy.

I picked up a large micro-fiber towel in the car care section of Wal-Mart for about $ 7-8. Works great and doesn't leave lint like cotton towels do.

Thanks for asking a question I was wondering about myself. The ABSORBER seems to work OK, but was wondering what was better out there. I am assuming we can pick up some of these alternatives at Carlisle?

People, People, be very careful of the inexpensive towels from the discount stores. Microfiber towels are NOT created equal like the faithful cotton towels. In my research on MF towels, I purchased 3 packs from the local discount stores and out of the 30 towels, all were of a 80/20 or 70/30 mix and only 6 passed the CD test. That is where you rub the recording side of a CD with heavy pressure in a straight line. If you see the scratches where you rubbed, that will happen to your paint. The rest have been relegated to oil changes and other greasy mechanic like duties.
In the end buying 6 good quality towels would have been less expensive.
I have had customers very proud of the fact that they have bought the warehouse MF towels and beat my pricing, but the swirls were horrible. Their cars looked like they were washed, then dried with a wisk broom.
Stick with quality towels and you won't go wrong.
Always test on a CD before you use them.
