Have really enjoyed the postings lately on washing/waxing.....spent the last week, washing, claying, washing, detailing the exterior. I am a recent owner of a 93 yellow convert...here is my question: now that the exterior/interior is down, I have started on the engine compartment. I have noticed that the compartments that the hood latches into have rusted or discolored a lot, much like the slots that the convertible top mount into. Has anyone had any luck cleaning and painting these areas? If so, what kind of paint to you use? Thanks.
BTW: I posted two weeks ago about a painting question for a door handle and interior console compartment that had cracked and chipped, Eckler's offers a good match paint/bonding spray that really made these two areas look new again.
