I just finished watching the final quals and whoa!!!....the top fuelers are going nuts...7 guys in the 4.40's...Army in front, as usual with a 4.44...floppers are hauling the mail as well...Force was leading at 4.68 until one of the Pedregon brothers ran a 4.66..unfortunately his chutes malfunctioned and he hit the kitty litter REAL hard...the body came off and from all the rain yesterday it was a quagmire of mud...huge mess...pro stock was the only surprise with Greg Anderson in 7th and Jason Line in 12th....
Should be a hellova deal tomorrow...

What a nutty event...the Army goes down in top fuel and Scott Kallita wins it over Herbert...The Force floppers all go out very early as does Selzi...T.J. beats Bazemore badly in the final...
In pro stock, the professor kills the tree with a .008 light in the semi's and goes into the final against....Connelly...both Anderson and Line ran like crap and went out early...The Prof had a very slight edge on the tree but Grumpy power took over and the kid killed grandpa....
In the "other nutty stuff" category, one of the Pedregon's had his race won and crossed the center line for the DQ...his opponent was broken and idling down the track too!!!...Brady Kalivoda exploded his right rear tire at 300 mph, turned left and hit the wall hard...he is OK thank God...for all the winners it was their first ever at Pomona...

Hey Fuzzy,
I agree, that was really a strange event. I don't remember another one like it. I think the Force group will be OK but Anderson is going to have his hands full.
