Stupid Question
When people talk about Racing they always refer to the DA what to they mean, i've seen it range form 100-6000 and it seems to be location dependant can anyone please help?

DA is density altitude. It compares the density of the air to what the density would be at a specific altitude, under "standard" conditions. As the density goes down, it is equivalent to the air, at a higher, altitude. The air gets so bad here, that the birds can't even fly. DA of 8000'+.

out here in NJ the DA is -1000 at times 
Its really hard to run fast under water....like -1000' BELOW SEA LEVEL
