Default Skinnies?

I own a 2000 corvette, and i have et streets on the back, what i want to know is what is the benefit of putting skinnies on the front of the car? Will it help with my time or is it just for looks?

Weight reduction I believe is why they put skinnies on front. You want the car to raise up in front to put weight on back for traction. They don't look good but help at the drag strip.

Not for looks but for funtion.

As already mentioned, weight savings is one reason. I forget the weight but they are like have the size of the stock wheel.

rolling resistance will help your ET as well. Less rubber on the ground creeating resitance so you will go quicker.

Safety is another reason...running radial tires up front with bias ply in the the back is not considered a safe combination at high speeds on the track.

If you have adjustable shocks, they are easier to get to and adjust with the skinny as well
