Oil 101
Hey guys, I started a thread in C5 Tech........Mobil 1 + Lucas stabilizer Vs Mobil 1 Extended..........I would like to hear your opinions. The link is as follows:

I have a 96 Its a stock motor, but I drag race it almost every week.. Granted its not making as much HP as your car, but it has 56,000 miles on it & I've been Drag Racing it since I got it in 96. The only oil I have used is Mobil 1 ,,, 5-30 & being that I never road race & only run it 1/4 mile I only put in 4.5 qts of oil when I change it..
It still don't use a drop .. I change it every 3000 miles & use an AC oil filter.
IMO I think all that other stuff is over kill unless you are running long road course's ,,, My oil temp never gets over 215 deg.

Thanks John, You know, my engine builder puts the cheapest oil money can buy for brake in, 1000 miles. I chickened out at 500 miles and put the Mobil 1 in. It took another 2500 miles to seat the rings! I think your probably right.............
