I Did IT!!
I finally hit the 12's I was shooting for!!!
Spent the first EIGHT runs of the night alternating between 13.3s and 13.2's
10pm rolls around and GF says "I'm getting cold," Me- "OK, lemme make one more run":
13.020 @ 109.07 w/ a 1.969 60'
sooooo close.
One more run honey, I PROMISE
Launch a little harder and BOO YAH!!
12.948 @ 109.57 with a 1.930 60'!!!!!!!!
I know it's still a relatively slow time compared to most guys in this section, but I FINALLY broke the barrier!!!
I can't even IMAGINE if I can get those 60's down even further!

Cool! I was hoping you'de make it. You have the burnout down, as soon as you get your 60's down your gonna really be flying!
What did you finally launch at?

I narrowed it down to launching @ 4k with some clutch slippage
Found that dumping the clutch would still bog it, so I need to slip it.
Burnouts are second nature now
The diff btw the last two runs was in my shifting, which is still not PERFECTLY consistent
I think I get off of it TOO much btw 1-2 and I'm not keeping it floored btw 2-3 and 3-4. Just more for me to work on and practice

That is a great feeling, now you are hooked and want to go faster. Pick a tuner and go....

Nice job Chris. 12s are a big accomplishment. My first 12 was 12.99 didn't matter I still got to change my avatar....
I would suggest a shift light from Raptor if you are going to keep this up. It will help clean up your shifts and make sure you shift the same each time.
BTW - why dont you come with us to Watkins Glenn and see what your car can do with some turns.....

Thanks Bob
I just ordered my Raptor last week, so I'm hoping it gets here quick!
What's this Watkins Glen event all about?

The raptor takes about a week to get to your house. It takes about 1 hour to install if you go out to the PCM like I did....
Sent you a PM regarding WG.

Congratulations Chris. Each goal you set for yourself is a great accomplishment and worthy of sharing regardless of what it is. Twelves are great. Enjoy it.

Way to go Chris....Man, your GF is a trooper, huh?
I told you if you'd stoop dumping the clutch & launch higher/harder, you'll see your ET's come down...You were bogging @ Etown, so burnout or not, you needed to launch higher...
Now that you've embraced that & nailed down the burnout, work on your launching &work on your shifts as I said last week & watch those ET's drop.

Most GIRL FRIENDS are.....
It's when they get you to say "I do" that life as a male knows it, ends!
Then it's "Honey do this," "Honey do that," and of course my favorite..."YOU'RE going to do WHAT!.... I don't think so!!!!
