Default Why Why Why.............

Why does Englishtopwn have to wait so long to call off events?
Are their events ONLY participated by local people?

Here is the radar image at 6:30...Note the rain that is coming from all directions, yet according to their phone message things are still a go.
I'm going back to to bed this is absurd, people that drive 2 hours should be able to be told 2 hours in advance! I'm not beginning my journey and calling the track every 10 minutes anymore. Someone please give Englishtown internet access! OK, done venting....
(I know this is not Edgar's call, so I'm not complaining about him)

I agree, 1 1/2 hour drive each way for me as well. Since yesterday they have been touting 100% chance of ran. That's pretty clear that there is 0% of no rain Oh well have a great NO RACE Day and hope our plans for Sunday come to be

10/22/05 - Due to early morning weather conditions all drag racing activities have been cancelled at Raceway Park today. No racing for us today.
Our Corvette Challenge and Pro 8 races have officially been moved to next week at the same time. We will see you all there.

Looks like Test & Tune is available at Atco if you want to get some racing in.

The biggest reason is noone that works at the track gets up before 8am.

They SHOULD have called it off last night when there was a 90% chance of rain for today........and if they didn;t trust the weahtermen, then looking at the radar at 6:00 this morning should have done the tirck. What good is waiting til 9:00 to make a decision for anyone that has to travel to the track. Might as well sell the recording machine cause it's worthless information by 9:00. I took a gamble and went back to bed since it was pouring here at 6:00

Ralph, they don't even take that into consideration, they will alway waite till the last minute to call it off, if a few that travel a great distance are inconvienced, well I don't think anyone is looking or cares about that.

That's the way it is and the way it's always been. I got there at 4:30 PM Fri. I did what I had to do. It's a 4 1/2 hr trip fpr us.

I agree they should have cancelled at 6:00 AM. That's when it started raining at the track. They cancelled at 7:45. What pizzed me off is that it never rained last night. They cancelled anyway. I could have gotten much needed seat time.

What are all of you guys pissed about. You should have did what I did.
Set the alarm for 8:40. Woke up to the pitter-patter of rain outside of my open bedroom windows...Shut off the alarm & back to dream land.
I was prepared to get up, throw on the ET Streets & make the 8min trip over to Etown....It was a no brainer....
FLAME SUIT ON!!!! LOL
Meanwhile, it didn't rain at all!!!! I figured when I got up at 10:40 that maybe they dried the track & I missed a late starting event...

Ya know all this rain started when they first walked on the MOON in 1969. The weather has never been the same since.
