I like the way that the Corvette Challenge in the Summer is scheduled for afternoons, hopefully a little cooler in the evening as the event wears on. Lets Rock .......
You will notice that opening times have changed for a major part of the season for Saturdays thus our 12 pm starts.
Sorry if that presents a problem for some. I had no input or contorol into time schduling other than picking first session or second session. I am not sure how it is going to work out but in theory we should still be out of there in a similiar 6 hour window.
Why did e-town switch from 9am to 12pm starts? Was it to appease the neighbors?
I'll never get over how people buy a house near a racetrack then have the nerve to complain about the noise.
They should all sell thier houses for cheap so we can all buy property there.

I can't find a reason for the AM Session opening time on most Saturdays being pushed back 3 hours other than neighboring complaints/township issues. To be frank, that annoys the crap out of me. I was at a local party and someone was complaining about racetrack noise. Does anyone drive around the area to check it all out before spending 500 grand anymore? I mean seriously...
That's it for my mini rant, I'll try and be quiet right now. And if the "AM Session" situation is due to a far-fetched chain of events, we'll just call that an off topic mini-rant and I apologize.

The later time will help me get there through all the traffic. What a long drive - 4 traffic lights. Now I can wake up at 11:30 to be at the track for 12.
Now what about buying a home near an airport!!!??? Planes make noise too. They are just a bunch of dumb A$#'S.
We need to know this for the 12PM & 4PM events.. thanks..
Time trials usually start shortly after opening time & typically run for about 3 hours depending on the amount of cars & oil downs etc. You could expect something shortly after 3pm & 7 pm respectively. It's somewhat futile to attempt to predict anything closer than that given all the variables. As you know, anything can happen during a day of racing so it's best to get there early & be ready

While I'll certainly argue on the track's side of the neighbor issue any day of the week, this time, that wasn't the issue at hand. This is something that was talked about for the start of this past season, and I for one, are glad to see that it is being implemented. What the changed schedule will allow us to do is combine a lighter session with a decent session into one real day of racing, rather than having a session too light in the morning, and literally dragging it along and still being done with eliminations in the very early afternoon, then having to wait for the gates to open at 3 for the next session. The overlapping will allow a session to flow smoothly into another, and not waste quite as much time. There is also the employee shift factor, as it seems a 12 pm start would need only one crew for the day, rather than having some of the people change out halfway through, and bringing in a partially new crew. And for those that must work both sessions, this will hopefully make the weekends a little easier. The only loss I can see is a slightly lower paycheck with the missed hours...geez...with all those hours gone I might be out a few hay-pennies. (my low wage humor for the day.) There ya go...just a different take on the issue.

For us guys up here (NY) we would leave at 7:30 get to the track by 9am.. that was great! Now during the summer we'll have to fight the beach crowd... it Will be a 4 hr drive.. Our only option is to leave at 7:30 like before & beat the traffic.. get to the track by 9am .. now they will tell us we NO ONE CAN BUY TICKETS UNTIL 12;00 NOON so we'll have to sit outside the gate for 3 hr.. or leave here at 9 am & sit in traffic for 3-4 hr
Sounds like a lose.. lose situation for us up here...
Where is Korreck... with his motor home when Panuzzo Racing needs him ..
Who the heck told you two to move so far away from the track?
You can still leave early.. check out the flea market up the road, get some brunch, take a nap, start a poker game in the back of someones trailer or move next door to Farley
Funny, when i lived in the Bronx, i used to go upstate a lot to hunt/camp/fish. Now that i moved there, i dont do any of those things anymore If i moved next door to Farley, i'd probably take up skiing or something.
