For those of you, like me that had been planning to race this weekend in Aiken and for whatever reason were not able to go how will you now spend the weekend?
I’m sitting home, hardly able to walk telling myself I did the right thing by staying home but I have this little voice in my head telling me “you wuss, you should have gone”. I know I did the right thing by staying home but this weekend will suck and I don’t know how I’m going to keep busy.

How about you?? What will those other non attendee do this weekend?

Gonna stay home and relax, install my Hurst Shifter and brave the cold here on Long Island.

I know how you feel, I was looking forward to going but had a trial today that I could not get out of. However, it still should be a good weekend.. I have my family coming over to visit and this is Mardi Gras weekend so we will take the kids to the children's parade on Saturday and the full Parade on Sunday and tailgate.

Although, I would like to have been smelling racing fuel and burning rubber with the sweet sound of Corvette exhaust notes!

Best of luck with your new ride, you are going to love it. Get to know it before you go really applying the power.

Can't go quicker than 13.50 in the ragtop and no bar. Gonna keep it stock. Hope to have it ready for RP street wars next weekend.

I know how you feel. I was going to go watch but two sick parents and one grandparent passing away this week ended that plan.

If the weather is good a bunch of us are going to Cecil County test and tune next Saturday. Shooting for under 10.50's.

I sure know how you feel John. I will spend most of the weekend either in bed or resting in a chair to hopefully speed along recovery from recent back surgery. My highlights will be the physical therapy exercises and watching NASCAR. Looks like the weather in Aikens will be pretty good for time trials on Friday and passable for the Saturday event. I do wish everyone attending a good time and only wish I was there. We'll make it next year!

Hey John..everyone took a bunch of passes tonight...the air was really good...heaven for us Florida folks...DA was around -400...two major problrms...John Carter hurt his Z06 off the line...don't know what exactly ...another fellow put his C5 Lingnefeltr twin turbo in the wall..he just bought the car last week...he did not lift in time...damn shame...even teh anouncer was yelling for him to get out of it...

Tomorrow looks very iffy weather wise but we'll see...get well...

Mike, let me know how you SS runs. I'm thinking of trading in my Tahoe for one.

Well, my stay at home friends, as you know we got rained out.

I was a train wreck from last night so I just finished a little nap. Gonna have dinner later with Chris Young and his wife and watch some nhra qualifying.

We are hitting the road at 5 am

Good to see you back on the forum Mr. Wilson

Well , It's a hell of a lot faster than a Tahoe , Mine's the AWD model , It ran 13.66 at 100mph , there was also a 2WD model that went 13.4_ at 102 , and an SRT jeep ran 13.29 at 103 . With a few simple mods like a cam , headers and some tuning 12's should be within reach . I beat a few Mustangs and ricers today so that was fun , but my first run in the truck it felt like I was dragging the tower behind me compared to the C5 , but for a truck it's pretty strong .
