Default Trailer Question

Do I have to add my trailer to my insurance or is it covered already in the policy?

thanks

You better check. I'm sure you need a separate policy.

My insurance company added it to my policy like an additional vehicle. It has a vin# and requires a tag so it is similar.

They do not charge me for liability insurance, only for collision and comprehensive. $35 per year.

Generally, whatever you tow is covered by your car insurance company (you have to provide an insurance policy # when you register it). But it certainly won't hurt to call and make sure 100%.

I think it will cover liability but not theft. I have a separate policy for the trailer. I even have one for the golf carts. Liability, fire, theft and collision.

Good to see you Paul in SC. Damn shame we didn't have more time. Keith is sure looking good.

You may be right; theft is probably not covered by your car policy but it may be covered by your home owner's policy. I have an umbrella policy that covers just about everything. Again, check with the insurance company. I'm not an insurance agent but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night

Great to see you as well, Bob. Yes, Keith looked good. I was supposed to drive for him until he got the ok from his doctor.
