Default The spool is here!

I would like to thank Jeb Burnett very much for the great job on our Dana 44/spool! The diff looks very strong, and very well put together! The installation will be this weekends job, along with the parachute, and an external button to release the rear hatch from the outside of the car. I have finished the window net, and upgraded the alternator to a 160 amp. We hope to have the car completed by Sunday

You will like it! Been running one for 2 years now, took me a few iterations to finalize the best way to do it, but its worked flawlessly.

I wish I would have known you were doing this. There are a few things I have changed since the original design I did.

Good luck!

I need some info on the spool myself.
I'm thinking this is the last season for my current set of gears so when I replace them I would like to go to a spool set up.
This is the last step before going to a Ford 9" I guess.

We purchased all of the safety "stuff" to make the car legal for 8.50's. After the diff is in it is going back to the chassis shop to get the cert.

Well I pulled the old diff out tonight and got to have a look at what happened in Columbus. When I pulled the rear cover I found that all of the spider gears were fine but every ring gear tooth was gone These old gears were Richmonds, and I was told that they were not the best to use? Well we will see what happens in Atco with the new diff! I will take some pics tomorrow and post them
