The lights were wrong!
At today's NHRA Nationals Event in Pro Stock Bike, an electronic "win" was overturned by a video replay. Apparently, this is the 3rd time this has happened in Pro Stock Bike (where the video confirmed a different result from the electronic beams).
You got to wonder if any of our CC event wins could have been overturned by a video replay.

No, the problem is that some of those bike wheels don't have the mass to trip the lights. The system wouldn't fail on regular tires and wheels.
Now there are other thing that can cause a problems with the beams.
