As A&E gets ready to launch the new Driving Force series featuring John Force and his talented family. Will you watch it, and what are your thoughts, will it be just another Ozzie Osbourne show..?
[John Force] "I's gonna watch it, but mah ol' TV, she give-up-the-ghost last night watchin' an' ol' Elvis movie.....
(pant-pant)
"So I calls Coil, an' says, 'Coil, this ol' TV, Ah cain't git no-picture, an' mah new show is coming-on next week, an' Ah don't know what to-do.
Can ya fix-it for me?'
(rubs clutch-dust from eyes)
"Coil says, 'Calm-down, Force, ya' crazy ol' man..... shut-up an' drive the car!', so I figure thats what I oughta do.....
(slurps POWERade from bottle)
" 'cause that's what Ford an' Castrol an' Triple A of California are payin' me to-do.....
(changes ball-cap on head)
"Besides, Coil and' Fedderly are gonna come-over ta' my house an' show me how to put new batteries in da remote before the premiere episode.....
I will watch. Hopefully add to the interest in the sport.
I was just talking with some friends about this same subject in my shop the other day. NASCAR is the #1 attended motor sport, #2 is NHRA, yet the left turn boys get all the prime time TV time. I enjoy watching guys (girls) making 9 thru 15 second passes most of all. I understand the effort and enjoyment it brings to this type of racer. It's still a fairly low budget bracket that just about anyone can feel the thrill and have a great sense of pride and bragging rights. You all have my respect.
