when you change out shocks I want Qa1s which ones do i need for drag racing and do you have to reprogram the computer so it wont be throwing codes.

Installed a new set of front QA1 double adjustables yesterday, going to the strip tonight to see the results.
Going to make a pass or two with shocks set at 0 rebound and 8 bump - 24 click settings for each on these shocks. You don't want too much bump so the car will ease back down as you increase speed after the launch.
Also will disconnect the front anti-sway bar for the third and fourth passes to see the results in combination with the shocks.
The drag strip I'm going to has very little hook, I've added 100 lbs ballast and a full tank of gas to acheive a best short time of 1.60 (best 60' time of 1.48 on a good track) going to try a 1/4 tank tonight and if all goes well I will remove ballast.

The computer doesn't know what shocks are on the car if you have standard, Z51 or Z06 suspension, not sure if you disconnect the wiring from F45 suspension.

The QA1 shocks did allow the front end to raise easier, that result is as I had hoped.
My traction was still poor but I think the clutch pack in the differential is gone, only one wheel spinning during the burnouts. Guess I'll try the new clutch pack from DTE.

Did you order the double adjustables for the front? I spoke with QA1 and they are working on the doubles for the rear, I will wait for them before I buy rears.
I set the fronts to 5 clicks each bump and rebound when I left the dragstrip and it did make the ride more comfortable in the front. Will be nice to soften the rear up also for cruising.

This is shocking!!

Sorry, had to say it...LOL

I have the single adjustables and use 2 up front and rear will vary from 6-9 depending on hook. Don't think it makes much difference...too hard to measure with so many variables

I wish I would have went with the doubles up front.. I can't see a need for them for the rear though.
