I Unleashed The Pace Car
After running 6 rounds in the Street Wars. I was told if I wanted to make a full pass I would have to come back to the lanes after the run QUICKLY. I was the last car to go down the 1/4 mile in elimination's. Last round was at 8:35pm and my next run was at 8:40pm for my full pass. This is the way it was for the last three rounds in elimination's - Round Robin. I only had time to check the tires and that was it. No time to even change the dial. I left the dial the same = 13.62. I ran this number three times back to back. Amazing how the car runs when it is not running in the Corvette Challenge.
My Reaction Time in the final was .211. I was sitting at the starting line spinning the tires. I was at 5,500 rpms and I was not moving. I actually had smoke comeing inside the car. I lost 3 tenths in my 60 foot. Track conditions were not well. I also did not do a good burnout due tothe lack of water. Well the guy I was racing never got out of it and broke out I was 3 car lengths behind him to see that his win light did not come on. I also hit the brakes to make sure there was no way of breaking out. I went 14.30 on a 13.62 dial.
After the final I drove very quickly to the lanes, Did what I had to do to let the car run fast. I hit the tree with a

I had a tire spin from hell in the final. I never ever spun the tires on this car all season until this event. The last three rounds were bad for traction. Oh, I was far from red in the final. I can safely say that in my entire racing history that I have never been this late. I have pinned this time slip on the cork board in the garage with the others.

You are so correct Ron. I will be at ATCO this winter testing the new set up. Maybe I will see you there. This track is really good for low numbers in the winter. At least I will be good to 11.50

Thanks Bob, Hope the wife and kid have a great holiday. I have a double day here. It is my b'day and Thanksgiving. A b'day cake on a holiday. Yes, I was also born on Thanksgiving day. Mom is still pissed about that day. I told her that she should take it up with my father.
