Default Last day at E-Town....

Well another season comes to an end. Its nice when you are among the top 16 drivers at the end of the year and are participating in that special race. I decided to also run in the Trophy Marathon as well since this would be my last day to race in 2006. During time trials I was really cutting some good lights and running very consistent numbers. I knew that I would have to cut decent lights to be competitive. First time shot I cut a .012, second time I went -.038 too anxious, third time shot was a .009 (wow) forth time shot .147 uhm...My 60' were consistent also and were at 1.66 -1.69s. I was feeling very confident....

I was paired in Round one eliminations in the top 16 invitational against Devon Bole the 2006 Rookie of the year. As the lights came down and I launched the car spun hard and could not catch Devon. Looking at the time slip I saw that my 60' went from a 1.66 to 1.937, and my ET for this run 12.379 on an 11.83 dial. It was all over for me as far as winning the 1K. I'll try again next year.

In the Trophy Marathon I went 6 rounds and made it to the finals for the King of the Hill, the same fate that put me out in the first round elimination in the top 16 would come back to ruin my chance to capture my second gold sticker as I spun hard again. I ran the car hard and then lifted at the end thinking I would breakout and it cost me. After making this comment to Edgar, I felt like an Idiot as he stated to me what made me think I would break out if I knew I spun hard? Oh well, another hard lesson learned.

Oh! let me also mention that a certain person managed to line up against me during round 3 of the Trophy Marathon, he was like Sneaky Pete. I know it was no coincidence that we just happened to be paired up. You know this person to be very calculating....anyway he looked at me smiled and shook his head up in down as to say he is taking me out. I turned and stuck my left had out the window, thumb down indicating that he would be going down. After it was over the Boogieman has evened the score...... I asked what happened? I will let him respond to that....

Its nice to be a part of this series, best wishes to all the racers, all the individuals who behind the scenes make it all happen. CCDV Racing, and the wife for supporting me and baring the heat in the summer time.

Congratulations winners....

See you guys at the Banquet or in Feb 2007

It has been a pleasure to be racing with you Jerry. See you at the Banquet and then in VA.

You can still hire me. But I am not CHEAP!

I know you don't want to start that trash talk in your perosnal thread? Yes I nodded and smile and yeah even stared you down. No I did not hunt you down it just happend that way. Why would I hunt you down you asked me to wait till next year for our "heads-up" race. I don't know why but if you want it...it is on like Donkey Kong to borrow a line from Paul Z.

Just remember...you can have the three months to get your ride to run a number you feel will give you a shot at the sled but I certainly don't need my ego "stroked" and will not lose when you decide to race heads-up like your original challenge.

The real question is who is willing to pay more for my services?

Notice, I was not there and Edgar lost.

I'm not trashing you brutha, just writing about what happened... you know "the facts". I did not say you hunted me down...I asked you what happened after we race, your words were "It was my time"
As for three months to get my car ready, I am not making any changes to my car. You're the one making the changes to your car in order to make sure you can take me out. I ran you without spraying the car this time and took you out....Heads up? No problem bring it....

I have to say Edgar, I am surprised that you would pay me to sabotage your competitors ride.

Very unsportsmanlike.

How much?

I still think the best place to settle this will be the upcoming Nationals - neutral track, we can even impound the cars for the 24-hours before the race!! I'll make sure that you each have rooms on different floors and at opposite ends of the Hotel. We will work out a special breakfast schedule so there are no pre-race food fights, assigned pit parking slots to keep the pre-race trash talking to a reasonable level. Even a pre and post run press conference can be scheduled. This could be the event of the century!
Well whata say guys?

How many times do I have to bring it. it has been three weeks in row know I come to rock and you you make exuses about why you cannot race me. Then you brag about a braket race? Come one I gave you that race so you can have a good winter otherwise who know what will happen.

Bill if we set something up for Richmond, I might as well take one off the car count cause Jerry won't show.

Got a call from MTV today. They wanted to know what I was doing and to tell me they owned "Punked" not me!
