I am pretty new to the drag scene. Kinda learned the hard way that it is good to take some tools along (and a portable air compressor). What do ya'll do with the tools and stuff when you are racing? Do you just leave them in the open at your parking spot? I dont want the extra weight while taking a pass.

I have seen guys take them with them on the track, leave them on their spot and leave them with someone who has a truck/trailer.

I use a truck and trailer now and leave them in the back of the truck

I know how you feel and it is a problem...I drive to the track and often race not knowing anyone...leaving things at your parking space is not a good idea...I have seen tools, coolers, air tanks and even chairs dissappear...

I try to pit around a lot of folks and make friends quickly...I plan to run the Summit Series this coming year in Orlando...I won't know a soul...the worst part is the darn track has no air compressor for my rear tires when I'm done racing...I can't bring a tank for the above reason so I have to drive from the track to the nearest gas station, over 2 miles, with 20 lbs. in the rears....

I have tried those and they take forever...to put a pound or two in is fine with them but for 12 pounds in each tire... ...thanks for the thought, Edgar...
