Sorry I am so late....I wanted to put these on corvettechallenge.info first but have not had the time to reformat all those pages and don't want to keep you waiting much longer. Any questions, email, pm or post here. Rules were made in conjunction with Raceway Park and I only provided guidance and Raceway Park has the final say.
These are the class specific rules. You will of course need to be compliant with NHRA and Raceway Park Saturday rules (muffler and Noise being the stars)
Update 1/26
With the conversino to index racing and keeping the two Pro class the as close to the same as possible to allow for cross over, we have removed the minimum weight rule
These are the class specific rules. You will of course need to be compliant with NHRA and Raceway Park Saturday rules (muffler and Noise being the stars)
- ALL sub 8.50 runs will be disallowed. If it occurs during qualification that run will be thrown out. During eliminations a sub 8.50 run will result in disqualification from the race with no point awarded for that round & a 20 point penalty imposed. The purpose of this is to discourage participants from intentionally competing with sub 8.50 second cars. Qualifying run must be 9.99 or quicker
- Any rear tire is allowed
- 90 DB limit at tech/must have baffled mufflers; zero tolerance
- All NJ/NHRA safety rules including proper driver credentials do apply
weight minimum removed - No racecar style lettering/body must be street appearing
- Hood scoops must not be more then 9" above base of hood. All Cowl hoods okay
- Driver and passenger windows must be glass and operating. Lexan only allowed on windshield and rear.
- Factory style dash and interior/must have carpeting, door panels, headliner if applicable
- Stock suspension or back-halved cars only (no full tube cars)
- All lights must be in place - at least one working tailight
- No bracket racing aides ie delay boxes - trans brakes are permitted
- Stock body panels, no removable doors, fenders and no flip top one piece front-ends
- Cars must not be bracketized. We want street type cars, not bracket appearing. No race car lettering or decals on body panels. No gutted interiors, etc., up to Raceway Park management
- Races are run on a .400 pro tree with an 8-car qualified field on a pro ladder, 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc. Lane choice goes to the quicker car from the previous round or higher qualified car in the first round
- All engine modification allowed; run whatcha brung. Must run a GM style block
- Raceway Park will have the final say if a racecar is legal for the Vette Doctors Pro 8 Shootout
- Raceway Park tower staff and tech inspectors will monitor these rules

You will notice the Pro 8 and Pro 10.0 rules are the same except for ET, tree and ladder allowing cars to run in both

Great Job Edgar.
Thanks - I appreciate all that you volunteer especially with a busy day job. I will be glad to be a supporter of Red Sled racing in 2007
