I get a call from Carmen around 7:30 Saturday telling me the final mod is in and the car is loaded on the truck ready for testing at MIR Friday.
First pass out of the gate was 10.63 at 129 MPH (don't hae the slip handy)
Car was stable and straight and wheels up again with the newly built 402 LS2 motor. Left off the foot brake at 1900 rpm.
Come back around and hit it off idle and it leaves a little better and records a 10.54 @ 129 again.
Third run (not the 10th or so as I planned) we hit the trans brake. First time ever on that button and I needed some extra coaxing and coaching to do it right. I hold it down and rev to 4500 and let that thing go and BANG my head goes back like never before! Wheels up even higher but 60' was slower for some reason and then we hit the rev limiter on the 2-3. Turns out there is some issue with it and Billardcue told me he saw a similar issue so we are going to look at the brake again.
So I stay on the footbrake and run a slew of 10.5 passes.
Go to Ricmond and bam another 10.53 and a 10.54. New engine, same consitency. Qualified 13th out of 20 in the 10.0 Index so we are pretty happy about that.

Could it be possible you carried the front wheels thru the 60' timer? If they were higher than the beam then you tripped the timer with the rear tires. This would possibly give a slower 60'.
they don't have to be very far off the ground, maybe 3 inches to clear the top of the beams. In your video, did the front tires come up and out of the stage beams before you started to roll forward? My motorcycle does that when I'm really after a good launch and it causes my 60' to be deceiving in regard to the rest of the numbers on a given pass.

Nice launch. The car looks good!I couldn't really tell either.I'm guessing the 60' timer is about at the christmas tree.It looked to me like you were bouncing in that area but I couldn't tell for sure.It looked like your tires came up out of the beam on the launch, too. All I can offer is run it some more and keep good records.Good luck with your racing season.
Predictions on how long the trans will last with the brake depends on who you ask. Some say I will finish the season and others say I would not get past the first day. First day is done with 3 transbrake launches at 4500 and all is good.
I was hoping to be at E-town this coming weekend but that is not likely right now but more likely is e-town the week after for the first Corvette Challenge
Corky, you might be right it rocked some when I set the brake. Going to tghten up the front more which likely means no more of the wheels lifts.
Olivier...why would I need nitrous to reach my et goal? I am fine right where I am

Well, if mid 10's is your goal and you are happy with that, I'm glad for you! That's a badazz car you got there
I personally have the desire to go faster every year... Well, the ultimate goal is mid 8's...as my financial resources would have to be a lot higher for a mid 7 second setup (well, I would accept sponsoring if someone would sponsor me )
I hope to go high 8's with my new setup (which should be going in in a few weeks) once I'll run a full 250 shot..
What numbers did it put down if you don't mind me asking? Did you touch the L92s at all?
One guys build is supposedly making 530 rwhp + while another is around 480... both manuals. Just trying to get a grip on what the ballpark power figures are for this combo.
