Vic,
At the top end the bottom end blew out taking a 6" square chunk out of the block that was laying on the crossmember. I would like to see pics of it once removed.
John the girl who bought my old 89 tan Honda still has it... the AC is not working and it has a little more body rot.. but it runs strong (145,000 miles on it..
I bet it will still run under 20's and the best part is it will be nice and safe for a man of your Maturity

You need to decide, carb or fuel injection. Then go from there. I know you want to run Super Street so take that into consideration also.
With SuperStreet in mind carb...or at least a conventional type intake/throttle body. Theres no readily available throttle stop for the LT1/L98 configuration.

John, what about a carbed LS2 motor? As we know the LSX motors can easily make tons of power yet still have great driveability. Not to mention they are lightweight.
John, Blackrose's engine is what's left of Chris's 396. Those are some real nice AFR LT1 heads on that engine. However, if you're really planning to run super street you'll want a bigger bullet IMO. A big block is the way to go, if you're willing to do what's necessary to make it fit. Otherwise, i'd recommend a convention big inch small block with 18-15 deg heads if you can afford it. If not, you might want to use Chris's car as a blueprint. In either case......plan on a high rise hood along with everything else.
