First Run in 2005 MN6
Ran at the O'Reilly Icebreaker event at Gateway Interntional today. First time ever dragging. B&B X-Pipe and Bullets, otherwise stock. Let me know your thoughts:
R/T- .358
60'- 2.414
330- 6.079
1/8- 8.95 @ 85.71 MPH
1000- 11.400
1/4- 13.43 @ 111.27MPH.
87 Temp, and stock tires.
Any ways to improve? This seems slow to me. Beat a 2007 Audi RS4 by 4 cars.
Thanks.

You gotta get that 60' down. You're losing a poopiepile of ET in the 60'.
For every tenth of 60' ET gained is 2 tenths at the big end.
Someone will probably chime in soon that has a C6 MN6 and can help you out. But runflats and a 6 Speed is pretty much the antichrist of the 60.'

Buy some M/T drag radials and 17 C5 wagon wheels (they are cheap). You will have much more fun if you have some traction. Drag racing with runflats is like ice skating with tennis shoes. And if you get any wheel hop, you might lose your rear end (search for broken rear end threads). Drag radials wheel hop much less. Pick both up used on the C5 parts for sale forum probably.
Buy HP Tuners and adjust your IAT spark timing retard table to less aggressive settings. Split the $500 cost with 4 buddies and learn to tune! My buddies and I love it.
Learn to "walk the clutch" at about 5k to get a 1.6 60 ft.
Do the David Farmer free CAI mod in the FAQ.
For the $900 of parts mentioned here and your time spend learning HP Tuners and how to launch, you should lose a second off that et and gain 3-4 mph.
StL native for 35 years. Spent many a fun night at Gateway (old and new). Love the Pajama parties they used to have!
