Tire Pressure ?

I'm running a set of 265/40/18 BFG DR's. What would be a good pressure to start out with? The projected temps for Sunday are mid-high 70's. I'm sure the track is going to be kinda warm.

Not sure how much of a N00b you are, (I'm pretty new to racing, so take my advice with a grain of salt)... I usually start at 20psi, and may drop down to 18psi as the day goes on...

Cruise-In II Veteran

A copla years ago I tried 255 DRs and had to drop inflation to nearly 15psi to get decent hook.

Well I've got 315/35 R17 BFG's, and on my stock 94 coupe, I got my best 60' time (1.95) at around 18psi, in 60 degree weather, hope that helps.
