I run 13 my A4 and the I think most sticks with will go as low as 11 or even 10.
As for holding the car it is about the brakes. Before you stay, pump them a couple times so you get some high pressure up there.

I am pumping them at least 4-5 times and holding it down then locking the line lock. What is happening is that the rears are pushing the fronts and the fronts are staying locked and not spinning, they just wont hold the car in one place. I was testing everything out on the street since that is where I do most of my racing but I think at the track when the rears are in the water box they might hold...
