Default Better luck next time

I did 2 passes at Capitol raceway last night and did horribly. 13.6 @ 107mph Pathetic! Maybe I'll have better luck next time.... it's nothing like driving on the street, lol.

You got that right...it is nothing like driving on the street. Don't get discouraged, we can help.

What did you do different to prep for running at the track?

Yeah I hear Cecil is far superior, i should check it out. My 60ft was a 2.3 which is bad I know. My mods are mild... Callaway honker, Corsa Indy's w/Xpipe and a dyno tune. I'm doing 326HP and 344TQ at the rear wheels and it's an M6.

Well, I did nothing to prep. Borrowed my friends helmet and just gave it a shot. It was 92 degrees, I was sweating my ***** off in the helmet with the windows up. And my biggest issue was, I felt like I didn't have enough time once the second staging light cam on. It was like, line up and GO! I didn't even have time to wipe the sweat off my hands before the tree started falling, lol. I know if I had just 5 more seconds to sit there and get ready I would have done slightly better.

So yeah.... I would LOVE some pointers from you guys!
Just to let you know, I used the touring setting on the suspension, competitive driving mode and launched at right around 2K (I think, lol). I still have the original runflats on the car as well and of course I was spinning off the line.

looks like you lost alot in the 60ft, traction must of been bad, also the heat is killing performance, if you go to Cecil county dont run on a friday night traction is not very good, on saturday and sunday they prep the track much better, i get 2.0 60ft times with the stock runcraps a4 trans and 273 gears

at Cecil county i ran a 12.79 at 111mph in 65 degree weather with a programmer and a Vortex cold air kit

drop 3 tenths in your 60ft and you will run 6 tenths quicker in the 1/4 mile then add some cold air and your well into the 12s

when the cooler weather comes back lets try to get a track day at Cecil county you will run much quicker, better air and traction......i just finished installing a wet nitrous kit on my car good for an extra 300hp but will start with a 150hp shot and see how that works out, i'm dying to try it at the track i also just got M/T drag tires for better traction

I'd be down for a track rental if we can get enough people to chip in.

today at Cecil county the D/A is +3000 killing performance, in the winter theres days where the D/A is -3000 these are the days you make alot more power and run your quickest times,

Cecil county does have test and tune days on some saturdays and bracket racing on sundays with a test and tune......saturday test and tunes are best you will get alot more runs......when the weather brakes lets try to have a track day at Cecil county
