Default 2 AAA Ca strips why so few.............

now with the closing of lacr. who ran an old time 4 day a week sched like i was used to @ freemont in the 70s. i looked @ the schedule of the 2 closest strips and they are hardley ever open . . we used to have a wed grudge night a fri test and tune and a 1-2 bracket dail deal sat test and tune and a sunday div. race aor a bracket deal as well as a test if thats what you wanted to do. does anyone know why the operators of these tracks dont have a better . having just started to get bsck into it was very dissapointed to see the lack of a decent sschedule for guys that want to bracket race or just like to take their cars to see what they do. 2 test and tunes a month will not slow down those that want to street race . the guys at lacr had it right with their schedule IMHO anyone have info as to why?

Dragstrips are right there next to toxic waste dumps on the list. And in California, they might be several positions below. I think Pomona has made consessions to the neighbors in order to stay open. Not sure about the others. California used to be the hot bed for drag racing....now you're better off being a murderer than a drag racer.

P.S. NY not too far behind.
