First I have to presume your track is measuring .500 as perfect, most tracks have gone to .000.

I presume you are as shallow as can be? That 1.35 short time means your car is leaving pretty fast. Maybe if it did lift a little it would slow it down? Maybe a taller front tire or less pressure on the front tire?

A 3rd suggestion is simply lowering your launch RPM 300-500..... the fraction-of-time it'll take for the car to move w/ the lower launch RPM (a bit-more 'slack' in the driveline ) may result in slowing-down the initial move of the car, and lights in the .51-.52 range, if this is your goal.

I just add a few pounds of air to my front tires and that will usually add a .10.Lowering the tire presure will result in the car rocking back harder and you will get a quicker light.
Rock the light ,I do it all the time. With the new computers if you rock out of the light it shouldn't red light you .The old computers will red lite you if you rock out of the lights. We have a new computer at the track and that is the way it is set up.I set it up

This is interesting...I always heard exactly the opposite of this...add front tire pressure for a quicker light...
