A huge thanks to Carmen, Dennis and Joey for putting together my new LS2. I have a 99 A4 C5 in which the Vette Doctors just installed a new LS2. The motor is a stock block LS2 with ETP 215 heads, VD's custom ground cam, stock LS2 intake & TB, Kooks headers and Vararam. I am also running the stock 3.15 gears and I have a 3600 Vigilante TC. This combination gave 443 rwhp and 407 tq on the dyno. Not really huge numbers but we all know that the track is what counts. After getting the car on Thursday I was at the track Friday night. I made 3 good passes of 11.211, 11.180 and 11.206. The best pass of 11.180 was at 120.62 mph with a 1.544 60 foot time. The temp was 73 and the DA was +1600 feet for this pass. I was extremely pleased with these times and feel that a 10.9X pass is very attainable in better air.
They are the best, I started right where you are now. You are addicted and the Vette Drs are the best at helping those addicted to speed. Good luck with the new set-up.
I was going to send you a PM asking about your progress. Sounds like your all set to go. Did you get the bar put in yet? Maybe we can get next to each other at the next challenge, first time shot for our first 10's.
Thanks Carmen. My first time at the track today. 04',A4 with 273's. Just header/exhaust and tune it ran 12.904 at it's best. I could not keep traction when it shifted to second. The run craps have got to go. I had a BLAST.
