ok so transbrake and something else.
First off I want to keep my car street strip is that possible with a transbrake.
Second what is a decent torque converter for a street strip car I was kinda thinking around 3200-3800 I would really like to get the front wheels off the ground one day. Would this set up being pushed by about 400 hp a 3-spd trans and 4.10 gears get the front off the ground??
You don't say what kind of car you're driving. It's difficult to get air under the front wheels on a car with independent rear suspension. I doubt very much if you can do it with 400 horsepower - even to the wheels. A transbrake won't hurt streetability but it can be very hard on parts. To get air you'll need a high stall converter with rear tires suitable for maximum traction. Getting weight off the front end will help too.
good point sorry it is a 1980 corvette got the 385 fast burn 350 crate motor gonna buy the Hot Cam Kit as soon as I have the money. already pulled the A/C out of it to lose some weight and haven't bought into a set of tires yet for the strip.
This shot was taking with my old set up..IRS, 410 rear,396 smallblock,4500 stall convertor,FOOTBRAKING......
I would not recommend a transbrake with a IRS setup.... It is very violent on parts... I dont know how long a dana will last....
