Looking at renting a local drag strip for private session. What type of liability would our club incur by leasing the track in club name? Everyone would have to sign club waiver as well as track waiver. The track does not require us to have any insurance. The big issue, if someone got hurt, could the club be held liable? And of course, we are in a sue happy society.
The track should have insurance ,the event would be special use event the insurance would underwrite the event for a fee .Our insurance company charges 1k and has a lot of stipulations in the contract.
Our county also requires a special event license which is 3k.
You also would likely have to hire police as parking attendents(traffic control),that is the cheapest way, don't call them security or crowd control the price doubbles here to 70.00 an hour not 35.00.
Their a lot of little things but small stuff and expense compaired to the track it's self.Bathrooms concessions, electricity, parking, personal 2 medics ,ambulance, fire control and so on.

Did you look at piggy-backing on one of the tracks regular event days.
It's very pricy to rent the track amd unless you have a lot of racers in your club I doubt it would be worth the cost.
