Default A4 shift points......

I was reading Rangers article in Corvette Fever magazine regarding racing with a 6 speed. (Very good article by the way) One thing he stated was his "targeted shift point" on a stock LS2 or LS6 was 6500..

I have always heard A4s should shift around 6000. I know my motor (402) makes good power above that. Would there be, (is there) an advantage and shifting at a higher rpm?

I am curious what guys like Edgar and others with A4s have their shift points set at??

Thanks in advance.

Edgar,

Do you shift manually or have your shift points set?

mines about 300rpm over max hp. My cam runs out at around 6200rpm which has my car shifting around 6500rpm.
