Default How Many Runs?

Just curious, how may 1/4 mile runs do some of you guys make in a race year?

This past season I made it down the 1/4 mile 214 times with a stock street driven Vette.

My local track is 1/8 mile. I think I only got about 40 passes in this year until my transmission bit the bullet. Took me a while to get it fixed due to a busy work schedule.
That was only really late April - early June.

You got with the program this year, Doug!...right now I am at 223 and I am racing in my last event with the vette tomorrow...the Snowbird Nationals...that will put me at 225 if I go out in the first round...

I averaged just over 200 passes per year for the last 5 years...this year I entered 19 money events counting tomorrow...

Nothing we do touches Craig "The Killer" over in Bradenton...he will probably be over 400 passes on his C5 this year....

..... back when I raced my Z28, I ran 97 races over 4 seasons ('90-'93 ), averaging 4 time-shots per event (388 passes ), and went 234-78 in Eliminations (exactly 75%, and another 312 runs ):
I also made 2 test-and-tunes each summer month, often getting 5 runs per (5 passes x 6 months x 4 seasons = 120 runs ), and this doesn't count time-shots made on days that were eventually rained-out before Eliminations began, or time-runs made after being Eliminated, and that's maybe another 100 (? ), so I figure about 900 runs, over 4 seasons = 225/per.....

Craig is running probably 27-30 scheduled Summit Points Races at Sunshine, another 12-15 events at Bradenton, some testing & tuning at both, and he free-lances at high-profile/big-dollar races across Florida:
and he goes LOTSA-rounds, so 400 passes isn't out-of the question.

With Lakeland Motorsports Park just 8 miles from me, and them being open 52 Saturdays a year, I might keep the boys at the RevXtreme Propulsion Laboratories pretty-busy:
Bradenton Motorsports Park and Orlando Speed World are about equi-distant from me (each are 73-76 miles one-way ), too:
when I get the old-girl down here, if I can avoid being First Round Runner-Up, maybe Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company can put-on another crew in Akron.

I stopped counting about half through the season, but I estimate I have made about 400 passes this year. I made 22 passes last weekend.

On a winning season about 190 passes.I use about 2 1/2 55 gallon drums of race fuel c-17 at 575.00 a bucket.
Trophy this year for 3rd Summit pro & super street 3rd place.I missed a couple of races .

I stopped tracking religiously though I still do have the time slips and one day when I have some time will put them in my database.

I lost a bunch when I had a computer crash and have not gone back to fix them

Only a mere 37 runs this year for me. If it wasn't for that pesky red light I'd have at least 3 more to record. .... Right now I'm looking out my window as it snows. Oh well, it may suck but I am looking forward to next year!
