Default Help Me Launch and Shift Better. Video Inside!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waTCrZkRTTs

I'm the electron blue z I go against a white mustang, white nissan truck, black subaru, and black c5.

To me it sounds like I am waiting too long to get on it and shifting slower, when I listen to ranger shift, he is definitely shifting way faster than I am, but I don't want to power shift. My 60' was only 2.121. I'm trying to take Ranger's advice and leave at 2000 rpm on the F1's and not just hammer into the gas, but maybe I need to. Listen for me and give me some feedback on what I can do to improve. Thanks!

I don't power shift. I come 100% off the throttle during clutch in. It sounds fast because I practice the movement. There are launch and shift pages at my site together with some videos that show the process integrated.

Perfecting the components takes seat time and practice. Much of that can occur away from the track.

Shifting seemed decent except one pass vs. the Subaru-seemed like you missed 3rd or it was very slow.
Sounds like you may be short shifting 2-3. You should be shifting as close to 6500 as possible.
As far as the launches, seemed like you bogged most of the time, yes?
So you either have to get into the gas faster or launch at higher rpm's, or both depending on conditions/track prep.

Hard to be very specific by a distantly filmed video & not being there in person....

yeah missed 3rd against the subaru, couldn't really tell if I was bogging, didn't seem like I was but maybe. I'm gonna try mixing it up this time.

This was a run I did last week. Now I'm making less power so that probably helps on launch. The 60' was 2.06 and the car was capable of 1.93 in the past.
