John,

That's a great time. It was a close race, too - he had you at the lights, but you just caught him up top.

What did you do to it that made the recent difference?

The rear end is the stock D36 with 3.07 gears.
I installed a NX nitrous EFI race kit. This run was lanched n/a all the way through 1st. Shift into second. Press button through 2nd. Lift before shifting into 3rd. Press button again after shifting into 3rd.
In other words no nitrous before 50mph!
I realize this technique cost a bit of e.t. and some mph but I didn't want to lunch my D36.
I drive this car to work every day at this time.

Cheers,
John

What kind of slicks or drag radials are you running? My best time is 1.487 but my 60ft time was 1.774.

Years ago, I made somewhere around 700 1/4 mile passes with 60 fts ranging from 1.65 to 1.75 on my Dana 36 3.07 .... it did finally explode, but I was surprised it lasted that long..... they might be a little tougher than people know, but then again, you never know with these IRS rears.

Congrats on the great run !!
