Metal valve stems?

Metal valve stems?
Ponytailed tech guy said if you run faster than 11.9 you need metal valve stems. Anyone else conform this. I was looking around and didn't see anyone else with them. Is it only for slicks or what?

This applies to all cars running 11.99 or quicker, not just the ones with slicks..
All vehicles running 11.99 or quicker with tubeless tires are required to have metal valve stems.. Most tech guys don't check for it but some do.. I do have metal valve stems on my race car and always had!!

I had them when I first put the WELD DRAG LITES on my car, that had to 7 years ago.

And the rule also applies to front tires as well.
