Anyone know of an 18" that will fit on a 18x9.5" rim and I still want a 26" tall tire...
The BFG 295-35-18s (roughly 26.13" tall) or the shorter 275-35-18s (roughly 25.58" tall) will fit but the 295s won't be ideal on that size rim.
Then again Dennis50nj's Cartek tuned bolt ons only C6 LS2 has hit a 1.47 sixty foot with the 18x9.5/BFG 295-35-18 combo so it should work fine on a mildly modified car.

I am running Hoosier Drag Radial slicks on my car and they hook great...
They don't make a radial slick that will even come close to fitting a c5.
To the OP.
For your car and your power a MT or Hoosier Drag radial in 16 or 17 is your only real option.
Neither will hook up as good as your hoosier slick but should hold the power.

True, unless he is actually referring to the Hoosier drag radials that many are using now which some do (mistakenly) call radial slicks because they are radials and are almost slicks (two thin grooves) versus other 'more treaded' drag radials.
But I agree, technically they should not be called a radial slick because they're really not.
