Default Pfadt Race Engineering Drag Package!

Pfadt Race Engineering has been working on a Drag Package for the C5 and C6 Corvette's. Here is an overview of what's included.

Drag Package Stage 1 Coil Overs – Comp Rear Sway Bar – Poly Bushings

Pfadt Race Engineering offers a wide variety of suspension components to fit a wide variety of needs. We have noticed suspension is commonly overlooked when it comes to Drag Racing. We feel suspension is very important when it comes to putting the HP you've worked so hard to get to the ground!

Pfadt Coil Overs

The Pfadt Coil Overs offer some great features in an affordable, easy to use package with Drag Specific spring rates. The Pfadt Coil Overs feature a single damping adjustment at the top of each shock that adjusts both rebound and compression in a ratio of 3:1. This adjustment gives you the ability to tailor the coil over to your specific car and track conditions. For example, on the trip to your favorite Drag Strip you can dial the coil overs to a setting of 6-8 which will give you a smooth comfortable ride. Once you get to the Strip dial the coil overs to a setting of 2 in the front and 10 in the rear for example. These coil overs also feature a separate ride height adjustment. This adjustment is independent of both spring preload and shock travel. What this means to you is, regardless of the ride height that you are looking for you will retain the full shock travel to soak up all the hard launches that you can throw at it. Retail $2040.00

Pfadt Competition Rear Sway Bar

If you are looking for the ultimate in sway bar technology then you need to look no further then the Pfadt Competition Rear Sway Bar. The Rear sway bar features a hollow Chromoly bar that is splined on each end to accept our splined CNC machined sway bar arms. The arms are made of 7075-T6 aluminum a grade aluminum that is more commonly found on military aircraft then on street/drag cars. The rear sway bar has 4 adjustments so that you can perfectly tune in the balance the launch of your car for your combination of tire size, suspension setup and Horse Power. Then endlinks that are featured in our Competition kit include custom made 3/8", Teflon lined rod ends for years of quite operation. The hardware for mounting the Competition Drag kit is custom made to accept the light weight 3/8" endlinks. Retail $550.00

Pfadt Polyurethane Bushings

If your car still has the factory rubber bushings, you’re losing valuable 60 ft., E.T. and control due to the flex of the soft rubber bushings installed at the factory. Our poly kit will make your car launch much better by reducing toe in and camber changes in the rear! The factory bushings are known to deflect during launch which equates to tow-in. With our poly bushings that deflection is gone and you’ll make the most of your alignment.

Our poly bushings are graphite impregnated for long life and low friction. They are engineered with special grooves to maintain lubricant on the bearing surface, keeping the noise away. We include a lot of specific lube for our polyurethane. In addition, we’ve engineered custom aluminum sleeves for light weight, low friction operation.

Unlike most kits available, the Pfadt kit also includes the lower rear shock mounts, just another feature setting it apart from the competition.
Retail $290.00 C5/C6 Steel Frame $399.00 C6 Z06 Aluminum Frame

Pfadt Drag Stage 1 Package Price $2765.00 C5/C6 and $2870.00 C6 Z06

Drag Package Stage 2 Coil Overs – Comp Rear Sway Bar – Spherical Bearings

Pfadt Coil Overs

The Pfadt Coil Overs feature a single damping adjustment at the top of each shock that adjusts both rebound and compression in a ratio of 3:1. The hardware for mounting the Competition Drag kit is custom made to accept the light weight 3/8" endlinks. Retail $550.00

Pfadt Spherical Bearings

Serious racers finally have an engineered solution for solid spherical control arm bearings. If your car still has the factory rubber bushings, you’re losing valuable 60 ft., E.T. and control due to the flex of the soft rubber bushings installed at the factory. The Pfadt kit replaces all 18 of the control arm bushings with mono-ball joints to eliminate friction and deflection.

The factory bushing deflection leads to unwanted toe and camber changes in the rear. We've been running these on Drag cars for one season now and we can run less tow out (because we don't have to account for the deflection), we get more consistent launches, and the car is crisp and responsive with the ability to put more power down.

Our kit replaces all 18 bushings with beautiful 6061 T6 aluminum sleeves, anodized Pfadt orange and laser etched with our logo and part numbers. The bearings are held in place with military grade Loctite 638 and retaining clips - they are actually easier to install then polyurethane bushings. It takes about 108 individual bits to make one 18-piece kit. We do most of the work for you, so all you need to do is the install. Made and assembled in the USA, this kit is is the right solution for your control arms.

This kit is the ultimate suspension upgrade for your track car and there's nothing else like it on the market. Take the final step in completing your Drag suspension package!
Retail $1890 C5/C6 Steel Frame $1990 C6 Z06 Aluminum Frame

Thanks for the update Jordan. I think over the section we tend to know a lot of the drag racers. Just wondering who is running your products and if the test results can be shared.

Lot of coin for Stage II or I for that matter.

I will be doing some extensive testing of this set up in my car Edgar, We have had great success with using Pfadt parts in our road race cars, and I'm expecting nothing less in the drag department.

I already have most of the parts in the car already, including the coil overs, just a few more parts to complete the drive line and I will be sure to give a full report.

If they can handle my IRS power glide luanches, they should be good in any combo.

But I think they should be tested in another car also, like a blue car that is known for poor 60'

You have poor 60' times because your either breaking tranny's at the line, or carrying the wheels past the 60' mark and getting a reading from the rear tires!

Actually this will be a good test to see how one car with the set up does over one without Jay. Once the differences are made clear then you can decide if you would like to go this route.

btw, things are coming together nicely.

Maybe a dumb question, but how much of the previous Pfadt C5 setup can be upgraded with the new parts that are designed for drag racing? For example, I have Pfadt Coil Overs... Can I simply upgrade the springs or do I need to replace the entire unit, etc.?

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Jordan,

Can't say enough about you and Pfadt's products as they helped AMR achieve some loftly goals set forth last year

RobZ and I installed most of the Pfadt suspension components on our cars since the beginning of last years race season. I got a best 60' of 1.35 and more consistent launches all year. It really works to plant the rear of the car and transfer the weight better than stock suspension. The rear sway bar and transmount also helped to make the car launch more like a solid axle car.

Thanks again Jordan!

Troy

This is a wonderful release for this community.

We have had the opportunity to use this combination on our yellow c6z member (LPFStheFETT) We installed the old style coilovers about a year ago on his car, did some sourcing and got some eibach springs; after we found the car wasnt rasieing the way in should under launch. And that made a huge difference in the chassis's weight transfer, I will try and post the video compairisons! So the beauty now is Pfadt has this available in a package, and it makes a good difference over the standard set up if you are dragging your car down the 1320. The value here on these parts is amazing!

As proof IPS have combined this set up with the poly bushings to 1.3X' 60 foot times! Enough cant be said at the fitment and quality as well! Those poly bushings are nice for suspension deflection, and toe in, that naturally occurs upon the car squatting. The spherical bearings are up next for us (again we need to rid our chassis of the toe in effect on launch). Combine the speherical bushings and the new upper mounts, and drag coilovers, I am feeling 1.2 or 1.1 60 foot times in order. Also dont forget about a chamber kit .

I highly suggest this package to the drag racers! We can also upgrade existing customers which we have already had a few requests! You can see these packages on our web page as well www.ipsmotorsports.net and as always free shipping!!!!

Default Pfadt Drag Packages

We appreciate everyone's support! We have a great Dealer Network that use and support our products

Suspension always seems to be an after thought when it comes to Drag Racing. We also offer Powertrain Mounts that help hold the drivetrain in place during hard launches. The Corvette is unique in the sense that the powertrain is connected from the Engine to the diff. The factory mounts were designed to provide isolation for the average Vette owner. The problem is when HP, Sticky tires and hard launches are added to the mix the powertrain moves around too much causing "drivetrain shake". This is often mistaken for wheel hop, although wheel hop is a known issue it's not always what you're feeling. The Engine and Trans "Diff" mounts improve your throttle response and remove power robbing movement.

Engine Mounts $250

C5 Trans "Diff" Mount

C6/C6 Z06 Trans "Diff" Mounts

Please feel free to give us or one our Dealers a call anytime to discuss what options best suit your specific needs. When it comes to putting the HP to the ground we've got you covered!
