Thanks guys. I always wonder what my car loks like with a 1.5x 60ft. I had a great time Saturday with my buddys at pbir.
As far as my mods, well, h/c, 3:90, stock clutch, m/t tires, and a 100 shot of nitrous. Its not my best 60ft, but, my best one on video .

Can't wait until next month to do it again.

He backed it up with some 10.8's. Steve is deadly consistent with that car....I know since he beats me most of the time!

I should add that Retrotech Wanttospeed and I are all big fans of the stock clutch...those guys tax theirs a little harder than my slow ls2, but we were all getting 1.5's Saturday with the stock clutch. Speaks very highly of our new track PBIR!

So you got new tires and turning 1.5's now? What were your ET's or PB's and do you attribute it all to your DR's or your fast?

Actually, the tire are worn out, not new. My BP for 60ft it 1.52 on motor. I have about 20 runs now with 1.5X, and fifty runs with 1.6X. I also don't have a FAST intake, but a ls6 intake. Joe G. does has a FAST and he also has the new tires. Were you talking about Joe?

Saturday the DA was horrible, about 1400. I ran 9 runs, fastest was 11.440 slowest was IIRC 11.7 with a spinning launch, all at 121 to 122 so I was off about 2-3 mph normal. But my best 60 was 1.58 (which looking back at my spreadsheet, was my best 60 ever...I'm not such a good driver). And I ran mostly 1.6's and some low 1.6's. Overall the tires made a huge difference.

With my car I have found that if I don't keep the revs above 4500 through the entire launch I bog, and that slows me down by .1 or so. And sometimes when I try to keep them above 4500 I slip the clutch too much and that slows me down. The key in my car is to go from 0 mph to WOT as fast as possible without spinning the tires. My new DRs help a lot although toward the end of the night Saturday the track was going away. My best time came with a 6050 launch and sticky track early on, that gave the 1.5x 60. My cam drops off like a rock below 4500 so it's a peaky car to drive now. Pulls like a strong horse above 4500 though. My runs were all very very close SAturday, several 11.4's but I just couldn't get one better despite good 60's and fast shifting.

Siffert if you are interested I'll send you my spreadsheet with all 280+ runs with splits calculated and notes as to when I did mods, plus, I'll send you HP Tuners scans for most of them. That'll keep you busy for a while! Send me your email if you would like them. Maybe you'll find something of interest in them and can tell me a trend or something I'm missing.

Here's some vids of my launching.

This one is a 1.6 and I launched at 4500 and bogged,

I think this one I launched about 5500 but spun, it was last run of the night I think and track was getting weak. I think it was a high 1.6.
