Is it just me or are all the forums boring as hell lately? I want some controversy or advise forums to heat up already. What happened to all the test & tuners on here bashing bracket racing?
I'm a professional backup T&T want-a-be racer. In my years of racing I have never lost a single T&T round. I may not have gotten the win light but won at something on the timeslip.
Jesse, did you get my email about my latest T&T victories? For some reason I got 5 bye runs

How's this for some controversy?
I got into it with Spinmonster over on this thread about how much 3.42's should help a C6 with an A6 in the quarter mile as compared to the stock 2.56's:
I put together what I thought was a pretty solid case as to why they're only good for a tenth whereas he was pretty certain they should have been good for at least 2-3 tenths.

So what's the consensus from everybody here?
Christopher
The guy (Spinmonster) knows his stuff..... however I can't speak for him or anyone else.. but for ME going from 3.08 to 3.73 was good for .150 improvement... with a 3200 converter...
I was running 12.3x after I blew the rear, I went to 3.45 with a 2800 converter and slowed to 12.5x
Yeah Kazman I got your T&T results. It sounds frustrating but seems like you are honing in on it.
I was bored last Sunday too and went to the CMI Import drags @ Sac. Ran a buddies 69 Opel GT (i drive it a lot) in the jackpot category. Set up on a .040ish light, and was in the .040s all four rounds. I had to be conservative......here is the results link of the final round. All four rounds were similar.........ROTFL E Z Money baby!

Jess I love running those Import vs American races.. or just ALL Import, now known as "Sport Compact" AKA Front Wheel 4 Cyl cars..
I used to almost make a living running the Import Drags at E Town,, My Claim to fame is "I was BANNED" for winning too much gotta love it..
The organizer made a rule NO points or Bucks racers were allowed to race in the Import races... Made my day... rules have changed and now we can race in them.. but the down side is the "Ricers" want to go TOO fast.. and their Honda's won't hold a 250 shot on NO2 and the track is spending 1/2 the day cleaning oil ups while I have to sit and listen to "HIP HOP" noise on 18" speakers.. you know just as Chris' he;s getting a set for his Vette..
The rule @ Sac was: Competitors with an NHRA number, and/or who competes at and Sac Summit Series races can only compete in the rear wheel drive category. There was like a two year stretch of every race being won by the same two guys. And the rear wheel drive category was open to domestics, just so the car count could be boosted. It used to pay $400 to win, not bad for 16 cars showing up and a $40 entry. I won that deal a lot, easy income for 8 hours of doing what I like to do anyway. But the negative revenue eventually forced the real wheel category to be dropped, and changed to Jackpot, $20 entry and 100% payback. The fun thing about last Sunday, was bagging two thenths, then taking four tenths on the tree, catching @ 330", then dropping back a car legnth, pulling ahead a car legnth, dropping back, pulling ahead, then tightening it up at the stripe. The guy I beat in the final actually told me that I hurt his feelings by driving like that. I hate to laugh at the guy, but after he went .490 on the tree he deserved it.

You ever try bagging 2 FULL seconds A few yrs ago with my 96 Vette (it was running low 12's) I entered the 14.00 to 15.99 bracket class
Just like you most of the cars in that class were FWD Imports, and were cutting .350 and slower lights...
I dialed at 14.00 and would catch most of then BEFORE the 330' I lost in the final... but in one round the HONDA was ahead of me and I didn't catch him until almost the 1000'
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I KNOW he has to be Way under the 14.00 on his window, I put about 1' on him until 1200' and jumped on the breaks as hard as I could (Had ABS) no sliding.... and let him run it out he ran a high 12.xx I was 13.xx He had a dual stage NO2 system LOL
Mackey & Mojo were there that day.. and we all got a great laugh out of it... + a few $$$

Thanks Jesse, I had some computer issues and didn't know if my email went out. I've been able to shallow stage the street car pretty well. I will be running street and pro this Saturday. I'm sure I will get re-teched before the semi finals with them searching in vain for the box.
I'm a professional backup T&T want-a-be racer. In my years of racing I have never lost a single T&T round. I may not have gotten the win light but won at something on the timeslip.

First, you have to get the terminology straight. "want-a-be racer". It's 'wanna be racer'. Next thing "timeslip" is two words, 'time slip'. Consider this your first lesson.

Thank you for the 10th grade English lesson. If you want a racing lesson bring your wallet.
Well I guess your great at racing on a computer. Do you do any real racing or only on the internet?
As WJ would say, look punk, I was just trying to help you out. You're the one that said you were a wanna be racer.
BTW, you don't win or lose at a T&T. That's for getting some seat time or testing something with the car, like a new tune. Consider this your second lesson.
You see what I mean? I was hoping for some controversy on these boring threads......
But the best thing anyone could come up with was a slightly mis-spelled slang term, a missed stroke of the spacebar, and the inability to acknowledge sarcasm. I am on the edge of my seat now.

WEB HOT AIR: Thanks you so much for that incredible useful piece of information. I will be sure to copy and post it to all the Mustang forums. T&T is where the real racing is done by real racers. The number are real for both racers. Reaction time, 60', 1/8 times, and ET and MPH all count.

It doesn't take much to entertain a mental midget, does it?
