Probably been discussed, but is the HNRA requirement for a 6 point cage for cars running under 11.49 but higher than 10.0? Is it required to be welded to the frame? Thanks.

A 5-point cage is required for cars running faster than 11.49 (for convertibles it’s 13.49). Once you start running faster than 9.99 or trap more than 135MPH you need a 6-point cage along with a few other additional items.
For cars running 10.999 or faster you’re also supposed to have a transmission blanket installed but apart from a few warnings about it I’ve managed to avoid having to install one.
In all instances the cage must be welded to the frame of the car. If you do a search on my username I started a thread last year which has some pictures of my cage.

I have a WOLF bolt in 5 point roll bar. It has passed all tech inspections with the knowledge of it being a bolt in bar. If you read and also call the NHRA, it can be explained how a bolt in bar is allowed. Before I bought my bar, I did some research to make sure it would be allowed.

They need to raise the traps up for us Turbo guys ! Although if something goes wrong, you will be happy for every piece of additional safety gear you have !

Exactly
That's why roll bars should be welded to the frame, instead of bolted to some thin fiberglass. Your only kidding/hurting yourself.
