I just searched for some of your old post and found all the details. Very nice car.

I don’t know much about the C5 IRS, however I run a C3 with an IRS.

I have not sprayed it in the ¼ mile in several years and the last time I ran it ¼ mile was on motor. I currently run 1/8 mile only.

3100 pounds, 427 SBC with 23 degree heads, cast intake, single dominator, and single stage fogger.

Best ¼ on motor 3/2008 on MT 28x10.5S:
1.3582-60, 5.9133@119.21-1/8, 9.2490@150.35-1/4

Best ¼ mile on single stage fogger 9/2006 on MT 29.5x9:
1.3061-60, 5.5369@128.24-1/8, 8.5869@161.17-1/4

Best 1/8 mile on single stage fogger 3/2009 on MT 28x10.5S:
1.2890-60, 5.3948@131.54-1/8

I don’t recall the exact number…best 60’ is 1.27.

thanks , we are 3400 lbs, like i said we havent hit it hard, all our 60,s are high 30,s]we have just been playing to test things out we leave on 20% and progress it for a full second,[the vid run] when we do 1/8th we progress in 4tenths, but still leave 20%
we had some convertor adjustments to make, so hopefully now thats fixed and we can put some more power to it. . but if we get the irs done this year we will test with what we know and than go from there hate making to many changes at once,so changing to the irs, is a big enough change for nowshooting for the 4r,s in the 1/8 which is mostly what we run also. But should go mid to high 7,s in the 1/4 we will see the best laid plan,s.

this is jay, bobs son.. fyi when we went the 8.38@166 in the 1/4(the pass in our video), the car 60ft'd a 1.38 and the nitrous didnt come all in till 1 second out, then it turned off at 7.9 into the run since he reached the upper limit of where i set the rpm window switch...it only went 5.46 to the 1/8 on that pass..

the car "should" be able to go into the 7's on 1 system...

records broken or not, it will be nice to be able to take a c5 vette to stock suspension races and actually have the same style suspension under the car it came with, not a torque arm...(sorry paul, i had to say it..lol..)

I have never met Paul, although I have always liked his car and his attitude when dealing with the controversy over his car.

I would like to see him either put the IRS back in or move his combination to another style car, just to silence the critics (or at least the ones that actually race the class)!

Good luck with the IRS and keep us updated.

I remember a scott shiffrof prepared c3 way back 15 or so years, think it was that two toned silver color that was popular back then, registered "street" car was in the low 8'sI remember cause they (his crew)all wore shirts proclaiming "Worlds fastest stock IRS" I saw it at R.P a number of times Big inch BB for the time(540???) with a lot of spray don't know how long it stayed togather but that car squatted down so much the rear suspension was screaming in agony I think the guy was from long island I remember because it looked so stock and docile a true sleeper

Yes, as Gary stated above, that 7.75 was years ago, he's WELL into the 6s now.
And it's not just the Corvette IRS record that he's achieved, he's got the Vipers and the Toyotas covered too.

Well, tell him he needs to update the video and media.... That's pretty insane 6.82 I was 99% sure he was record holder.
