You got it.

Take street tires off, put drag radials on, race, take drag radials off, put street tires on. Cordless impact guns come in pretty handy.

Default Pep Boys 24V Goodyear Impact Gun

Haven't seen it anymore as I want another one. I paid $79.00 and used it for 2 years now and it is still going strong.

Snap-on 2 years old, drop it, hammer with it ,use it on lugs. works flawless. But was $450, it better.Havent found anything it couldnt take off yet! I lied, lug on my 68 nova was on for close to 25 years (guessing ) and took a snap-on breaker and a 4' pipe to brake it loose, and no the stud didnt brake lol

I picked up a DeWalt Heavy-Duty 1/2 In. (13mm) 18V Cordless High Torque Impact Wrench from Home Depot. See: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...atalogId=10053

I only use it for changing rims, usually at home, before I go to the track. It works fine, no complaints at all. Cost was a bit high for how often I use it, but it makes changing the rims quicker and easier and nice to have around for when I do use it.

Just picked up the new Milwaukee 2662... WOW! Used it for the first time today!
Small, 2000 rpms variable speed, with 450 ft lbs of torque!!!!
Much lighter and hits harder & faster than my old 9079 model.

If anyone is interested, my old 9079 (300 ft lbs) is in repair for a new switch & armature.
I'm selling it for $150 (cost of the repair), w/ 2 lithium batteries & charger.
Should be good as new once its finished..
If no one wants it, it will be collecting dust.

Our company receives all the new products that come out pertaining to our construction industry. Most of the time they are demos that not hit the consumer market yet. In return we help the reps. by filing feedback responses to the tools we use. (Thats the kick back)
So a quick run down on all 1/2 cordless impacts from the following
1. Milwaukee/Rigid- Milwaukee builds most of Rigid products, same
internals, different design outer casings. Save your money buy the
Rigid. It carries the same warranty.
2. Dewalt- one of the heaviest impacts on the market. Battery life is
the weakest out of all of them. Meaning not time running, but
lifespan of battery before your buying a new one.
3. Makita- One of my favorites, light weight, easy in the hands, one of the best
clutch set up on market. If you purchase the units with the built in
flashlight keep in mind that the light will drain the battery about 15
minutes sooner than non lighted units. Also Makita's new charging
system is full charge in 15 min. Im talking about the blue/black
color housing not white/black housing which IMO is for household
4. Craftsman- never used them, we dont rep with Sears or there
distributers.
5. Ryobi- forget it
6. Porter cable- hasnt advanced its technology on drills for quite some
time. They concentrate more on the specialty tools IMO.
7. Panasonic- IMO the best, 15 min charge, its 15.7v has more torque
and run time than most 18-24v. One of the smallest of the 15v and
drills. Has built in drain capacity levels, titanium clutch packs. The
only battery I know of that the cold climates dont effect (triple
insulated)
8. There are several others out there Im just listing a few. We now
having the pleasure playing with Feud's newest and Metoba's but for
for the strength and the funds Id chose either Makita or Panasonic

They will fit into your Vette. Get a couple of tire bags (I got mine from Tire Rack) and put them into your Vette. One fits in the back and the other in the passenger seat. The light weight race jack fits on the passenger floor, and the impact gun, torque wrench and helmet fit into the tire in the back.

Yes, I got it from Pep Boys on sale for $79.00 and $10.00 rebate. They no longer carry it. My friend purchase one also after using mine. Can beat the price.

I purchased 2 of the GY impacts from PepBoys. One was OK and the other died on the first try. Returned the POS.
